Brännpunkt Europa is an organisation with flat hierarchies where everyone can get involved and bring their ideas to the table. To distribute responsibilities, some elected members help coordinate the overall strategy of the organisation. However, all members have an equal voice and can get involved in the various areas, such as organising lectures, producing our podcast or social media content.
The co-chairs, as well as all the other positions, are elected at the beginning of each semester for a period of one or two semesters. The current members vote anonymously for a candidate.
The co-chair can be replaced under extraordinary circumstances. Their main responsibilities are to organise the general meetings, manage the internal and external contacts of the organisation, oversee that the events and working groups are functioning and to follow up on previous events.
The social media team is responsible for representing the organisation across different platforms. They oversee all activities and events, strategically promoting our mission and values to a broad audience.
The podcast team is responsible for planning, hosting and producing the “Monthly Dose of Europe” Podcast. They aim to bring EU-related issues closer to our listeners.
The social events team aims to create a space for connection for people who resonate with our mission and values. These activities are open to members of our organisation and beyond.
The Brussels trip team is responsible for planning our annual trip, which is one of the yearly highlights. They not only organise the logistics to make the trip work, but also reach out to local institutions, cultural organisations, and NGOs to create an interesting programme.
The members in Brännpunkt Europa can create working groups which are responsible for organising lectures. These groups can vary over the years, and there is no set structure. The working groups organise their own meetings separately and divide their tasks amongst themselves while also collaborating with the elected members.
