About us
Who we are and what we do
We at Brännpunkt Europa passionately believe that knowledge and education make the world a better place. That is why we invite a wide range of experts to hold lectures on current and relevant topics related to Europe and the European Union. We want to spread the word about what is happening in our part of the world.
But it’s not just famous politicians and renowned intellectuals that deserve a voice – you do too! That is why we set apart 15-20 minutes at the end of our hour-long seminars for questions. Just raise your hand and unleash your curiosity, or you can ask your question over Twitter or Facebook and we will ask it for you! Because, as we said, everyone deserves a chance to be heard.

We are politically and philosophically independent and neutral and adhere to Swedish anti-discrimination laws. We aim at having an open debate, to present diverse opinions and point of views, and to engage students and stimulate the debate at the University of Gothenburg on current events related to the European continent.
AIMS AND ACTIVITIES
Our aim is to organize and participate in events for students, scholars and the public through lunch lectures held in English. Brännpunkt Europa invites speakers both from the University and outside of it to hold lectures on current matters related to Europe. The vision is to create interest, spread information about current political and social topics, and stimulate discussion.
