Organisational structure

 Chair and vice chair

The chair and vice-chair are elected at the beginning of each semester for a period of one or two semesters. The current members vote anonymously for a candidate, who has at least one week before the election to announce their candidacy. One can be nominated by someone else or nominate oneself. The elections of chair and vice-chair take place separately. The voting is performed in two rounds. If no candidate wins a majority in the first round, a second round will take place between the two persons who acquired most votes during the first round.

The chair and vice-chair can be replaced under extraordinary circumstances.

The main responsibilities of the chair and vice chair are to organize the general meetings, manage the internal and external contacts of the organisation, to oversee that the events and executive groups are functioning and to follow up on previous events.

Executive groups

The members in Brännpunkt Europa are part of three executive groups: planning, PR, and logistical groups. These groups can vary depending on the planned events.

Working forms

Every second week there is a general meeting. The Chair and Vice-chair write an agenda which is made available at least one working day before the meeting. The Chair and Vice-chair are also responsible for booking a room for the meeting. During the meeting a secretary and proofreader are appointed who are responsible for writing and later distributing the protocol. The executive groups organise their own meetings separately and divide their tasks amongst themselves.

The lunch lectures organized by Brännpunkt Europa are preferably held between 12:00 and 13:00 at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
