  • Sappören 25 Sprängkullsgatan Västra Götalands län, 411 23 Sweden (map)

Brännpunkt Europa invites you to an interesting panel discussion about the political implications of the US midterm elections 2018.

The speakers will be Nicholas Charron and Jonathan Polk. Nicholas is the director of the IAGG program, a senior lecturer at the department of political sciences and a research fellow at the QoG department. Jonathan is also a senior lecturer at the department of political sciences and was previously a post-doctoral researcher at CERGU. Both are US citizens.

In the midterm elections on the 6th November, the US House of Representatives and one third of the Senate were up for election. During our event the two speakers will talk about the implications of the results on domestic and international politics. They will discuss these from both, a Democratic and a Republican standpoint. After the discussion, there will be about 20 minutes for questions from the audience.

Note: The positions presented by the speakers do not represent their real political affiliation!
