Brännpunkt Europa invites you to an interesting lunch seminar on the topic of “Challenges of EU Trade Policy?” with Dr. Guri Rosén from the University of Oslo.
Trade policy is a heavily contested issue and protectionist movements have become visible in many places. Recent developments such as the public disputes regarding the TTIP negotiations with the United States and the Wallonian reservations regarding the CETA agreement with Canada have resulted in a paradigm shift in the EU’s international trade policy. Dr. Rosén will analyse the political turbulences around these events and give a tentative look ahead for the prospects of EU trade policy.
Dr. Guri Rosén is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the ARENA Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo. From 2015-2016, Dr. Rosén was based at the Centre for European Research (CERGU) at the University of Gothenburg.
